HMAS Adelaide II

HMAS Adelaide II was the lead ship of the Adelaide-class Guided Missile Frigates. built off the American Oliver Hazard Perry-class Frigate. commissioned in 1980.
 
The Adelaide- class was the first lightship to land Helicopters (Australian Aircraft Carriers having little experience). Serving in the middle-east in operation Damask and later Operation Catalyst. 
 
Sunk in 2011 as a dive wreck.
